Sundar Kadayam, Founder and CEO
SearchTeam is the brainchild of Sundar Kadayam, a visionary software innovator who is the founder and CEO. Sundar has more than 23 years of experience in the software industry, with a history of many successful, award-winning products and industry firsts. He co-founded Intelliseek in 1997 with veteran entrepreneur Mahendra Vora. Serving as its Chief Technology Officer, he was deeply involved in shaping Intelliseek's business strategy, product strategy, product management, technology marketing and public relations plans, in addition to the stewardship of the technology team, the technology platform and architecture of the company's products. His work in the search engine space includes the award-winning BullsEye, InvisibleWeb.com, ProFusion.com, Enterprise Search Server (ESS), BlogPulse.com, and Zakta.com.
Sundar's work in the social media space includes pioneering work with BrandPulse, a marketing intelligence solution that automatically mined consumer discussions to provide insights to Fortune 500 company brands and marketers. Intelliseek delivered two successful exits for its investors. Prior to Intelliseek, Sundar was a Senior Staff Research Engineer at Attachmate (formerly DCA and ICC) for six years, leading the architecture, design and development of innovative, commercially successful PC-to-mainframe connectivity, client/server and distributed computing products. Sundar's career started at Era Software Systems in India, where he was part of a talented group of people who developed a graphical hypertext system on MS-DOS, immediately after his undergraduate studies from BITS, Pilani, one of India's finest technology and science institutions.
Mark Reed, Chief Technology Officer
Mark Reed has more than 15 years experience in building highly scalable, high-performance distributed systems, and he brings a track record of delivering and supporting commercially successful products. Mark was Intelliseek's lead designer and chief architect of such systems as BlogPulse.com and BrandPulse Self-Service, and he also crafted the personal-social search engine Zakta.com after leaving Intelliseek.
In addition to his unique skills with designing and building large-scale systems, Mark brings invaluable expertise in search engines, social media and text analysis, all of which are core skills for SearchTeam's success. Prior to Intelliseek, Mark worked for Attachmate, where he led the design and development of NetWizard, a distributed software management system. In addition to his prodigious talents in system architecture and design, Mark remains a prolific, one-of-a-kind, software developer in the Midwest, and he is also an attorney.
Mahendra Vora, Executive Chairman
Mahendra Vora's impressive 24-year-plus career spans technology innovation, Internet search and discovery, entrepreneurship, and community and global involvement. Funder and MD at Vora Ventures, one of the largest group of IT companies in the Midwest, Vora is known to possess the Midas touch, proven by his 100% track record of success: delivering between 5% and 247% IRR to all of his investors to-date, across all of his IT ventures. Vora also is the creator of the Vora Technology Park in Hamilton, Ohio, which serves as both an incubator for start-up companies and as a home to established technology companies.
Throughout this career, Vora has invested in and led many high-tech companies, including serving as Chairman and CEO of Intelliseek Inc., (sold to BuzzMetrics Inc. and then to The Nielsen Company), co-founder of SecureIT (acquired by Verisign), Chairman and CEO at Pioneer Systems (acquired by Unisys), Vice President and General Manager of the Unisys NT Software Business, and Vice President of Development for Intercomputer Communication Corp. (ICC) and Digital Communication Associates (now Attachmate). In 2001, he was named "Entrepreneur of the Year" by the Association for Corporate Growth. A native of India, Vora served as an honorary foreign IT advisor to the Chief Minister and IT Minister for the State of Gujarat (1999), and is active on many advisory boards and as a specialized lecturer on business, entrepreneurship, real life transactions, venture creation and other business topics at MBA programs at the University of Cincinnati, Xavier University and Northern Kentucky University. He is a member of the Board of Directors at the Cincinnati Regional Chamber, and the Citizens Advisory Council of Miami University.
